I like quads, but they can be hard to keep in the air. It is not IF a quad gets destroyed by mother nature but WHEN.


You will not see much difference in performance between the 6 element quad and the 5 element yagi. Depending on boom length per say.


For ease on installation I would say use the 5 element just because it has less wind load, less weight.

Either one you use if properly tuned and installed will have good performance.
 
I would get a maco dual polarity 5 element. I have one and love it! Great for local or half way around the world.
