Beer Can Radiator (part duex)

It's been quite a while since we visited the beer can radiator. Has any new data been collected? Any "real world" testing to compare to the scientific data ? As I remember sharp shooter was going to do some in depth research as well as others and I have yet to see the results.
Any thoughts?

I thought his job was to provide the "radiator" section only; not actually build it.
