They make fantastic barrels. Ed Shilen taught them how to make barrels. Every couple of years they sell off less popular twist and barrel profiles.
With so many people turning to VLD bullets that are usually heavy and long for caliber the slower more traditional twist rates will not support these so they do not sell.
Anyone wanting to build a 300 Win Mag or 30-06 take a look at the #3 Profile with 1:8 twist rate. This is fast enough that you could easily hurl some insanely heavy VLD's! 190gr, 210gr, 230gr, 240gr. etc.....
They have some nice AR barrels too on clearance!
