Best long distance mobile antenna?

Hey there...

My Experience is the palamar D-2500
never tried the 10K..

but i got 7500 miles with ease every day on it in parking lot at work for over a year

Witch is the best mobile antenna, if the distance have top priority? The 102" stainless steel whip or glassfiber whip like SIRIO DV27L or a small base-antenna SIRIO THUNDER 27 (!) at the car roof. Or any other suggestions?

I've tested a Lot of antennas, most all were equal. Mounting location is everything, top of the cab is the best spot. Definitely a noticeable difference when shooting skip.

Roof mounting lowers your angle of radiation takeoff so it's much easier to talk dx.
