i have a binatone long ranger handheld,that i bought on ebay from a guy in the uk.it will not power up.i have tryed two different power adaptors.i have also hooked it up straight to my 13.8 vdc power supply.still wont power up.i also have checked the reverse polarity diode,it is o.k,also checked the p.c.board for burnt foil patterns and loose connections none found.it is getting proper voltage to and from the on/off switch.i am wondering maybe it has a shorted final.dont know if that would keep it from powering up or not though.have not checked the final yet.if anyone has got any ideas i would appreciate you sharing them.thanks for your time.....jimmy/pathfinder259/mississippi..u.s.a..
