Bird 43 vs Radio Shack meter

My Bird shows higher vswr than my radio shack meter. The radio shack meter matches the BIRD's power measurements. Is vswr different than swr?

No Vswr is swr. I would trust the Bird long before I would trust the RS meter. That being said I do have a Digital SWR/PWR meter from RS that is dead on with my Bird and MFJ Analyser.

How much different? If it's just a little bit, no huge problem. If it's a lot, then I'd start worrying. Either meter could be 'off'.

Since the Bird doesn't even measure VSWR, I assume you're using a chart to convert forward and reflected readings into VSWR?
