Cut the orange wire to reach the front-most end of R53, the lug where the white/green wire was removed and solder it to that lug.

Next to this lug towards the front is a lug with a red and pink wire on it. Cut the pink wire at both ends and remove it.

At the center of the front-most tie strip that supports the SSB ALC circuit is a white/brown wire that leads to one lug of T2. Cut this wire at this tie strip, strip the end.

Solder the end of the white/brown wire to the ground lug on the rear-most ALC-circuit tie strip.

I suppose you could add a description of what each of the steps above does in light of the schematic diagram. But it was enough work just to describe what you need to do.

"Why" will have to wait for another day.
