Build Your Own Air Variable Capacitors!

I've considered doing this, but keep finding things to do that have bigger parts on them, like LOOONG antennas. ;)

I've considered using those round metal disc that are used to hold down felt paper before the shingles go on the roof for the round parts, and inexpensive metal flashing for the square parts. All thread rod, nuts, and cheap Plexiglas are all available at The Home Depot. It looks like a great indoor project when the weather turns cold.

The link is in my bookmarks waiting for that cold shut-in day.
