Build your own amp

How much do you know about electronics in general and RF specifically? Since you have to ask how hard is it I have to believe you know very little. If that is the case it will be far from easy. Tbere is a lot more too it than just throwing a bunch of parts together. It's not rocket science but you at least need a pilot's license if you catch my meaning.

My friend who got me started in radio told me with a good set of plans building an amp is not hard. Understanding what you are doing is. If you don't understand what a part does and why it does it you can't trouble shoot potential problems.

I understand why you want to do it. In any hobby it is always more fun and you feel more involved building your own stuff. Find someone who knows what they are doing ask a lot of questions and gather as much information as you can before you start. There are a lot of good resources you just have to look.
