I’m wanting a 1x4 mobile amplifier. Both seem to be solid amp builders. Both are the same price. Hopper has a few day build time where Carl built is 3 weeks behind. Any input guys on experience with them...thanks a ton!!

Are you really going to use a radio small enough to drive that single driver transistor properly? Doesn't take much radio power to slam a single RF transistor.
My experience is that a straight 4-transistor amp tends to sound better.

Carl just posted his shop will be closing down for 2 weeks as one of his techs tested positive and is in hospital.
I just ordered a 4 pill and hoping it's on the beach to be sent before that occurs.
I agree though anything that touch's say 20w pep would run more comfy with a straight 4 pill and you would have wiggle room with a straight 4 pill over a 1x4.

I have a couple hopper boxes on the way, cant wait. So long texas star, pshh. I'll post pics and review when it gets here.
