I was at walmart getting some miscellaneous things for camping.
And seen U1R 230cca battery i was looking around for its amp hour rating and seen 18 amps for 1 hr? So for $20 do you think this will keep up with a ts450 on low to mid power 10 to 50 watta for a 3 day camping trip? Using it for 3hr a day for 3 days?
I can also plug it in the reserve cigarette lighter in the back of the car when driving to our hiking spots to keep it topped off.. it would be in a battery box of course

If you are going to recharge it several times, it might work. This would be a better choice.

Not a true deep cycle, but much better.

Yeah that would be the way to go but it's out of stock i need to keep it cheap as possible the way i feel is how long is that battery going to last? i am only going to use it 1 time a year..
with the $20 one if it lasts 2 years sweet if the $80 battery lasts 2 years bummer :( and my flote charger is busted..

as of right now i just need some thing cheep that will last this year

Seems like this would be a better investment.

How about 18ah SLA, solar charge controller, mc4 external plugs, and 3 pin (no error) aircraft jack, and led meter?? Used 12awg.. Runs my KW TM-V71A on low power just fine.. I can recharge with trickle charger or solar (when I eventually get a panel). Also use in-house with small 180w 110/120VAC inverter for emergency light or cell charging.

That is a neat setup

Thanks I got twin 7 SLA in a fat 50 can that also holds the TM-v71a inside mounted. That 'can' has an external antenna jack on it and matching 3 pin power jack.. I can hook both units together, monitor the batteries using the meter, and up with 32 ah combined.. I can TX a bit even longer than.
