Imagine they are coming down looking for anything that isn't covered with snow.
We have gotten down to the mid 20's in the Bay Area, imagine you have been getting colder at your elevation.

It has been in the teens here Rob.
My friend charlies snapped that picture in his yard.
We often see deer here, and it seems since the Rim Fire at the park we have had a increase in all kinds of wildlife.
We have had more reports of mountain lions as well this season.
I have had brown bears wake us up in the middle of the night chewing up our trash cans lol.
Everyone is hungry right now.
