Those dad blamed foreigners have some way cool radios. I am a member on 2 UK radio forums and have learned a bit about some of their radios. They also have some good antennas available.

Man that one with the detachable face was cool. I know it is prolly similar to a lot of the UHF/VHF rigs out there. but wow the install options are endless. Thanks for the Vid Morse

Those radios are a crap. RX performance is bad, build quality far from good.
Most of them suffer bad soldier joints, I had many of them on my table to repair.

they say one of our US market handhelds, the midland 75-830 is the same as the alan 42, supposedly it will do FM if you jump some solder pads, however I have only seen it up on ebay once so it kind of rare.
