I just picked up a very nice Philippine Cobra 29 classic for $50.00. The only problem is that at some point some one put in a channel kit with high and low channels. The low side works even though it is 10kc off but the high channels do not work at all. Also sometimes the radio will stop receiving all at once and you have to turn the radio off or switch it to low channels and then back to the regular channels at which point it works fine. I'm not going to waste time trying to get it to work i just want to take it out. So my question is. Is it just a matter of unhooking the wires to the ch kit to remove it or is it something more than that?

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
