Someone told me they think this radio shares the same board as others. Also, if you know what the driver/final transistors are, kindly share. Once I get it here I can grab a few pics, just doing some research beforehand. There is some info on cbtricks although no schematic.

Pretty sure the Mongoose radio sold by shiny-metal electronics in the 90s is also the same. The vendor is a korean outfit whose name translates to "Dragon". Can't remember what their korean name is.

Seems to me there was at least one other name/model for that radio design. Don't remember what or who.

I've done a deep dive into this radio because I wanted to put together a capacitor kit for it. I can't because none of the vendors who re-badged the radio produced a service manual that documented the capacitors used. Here they are;

INTEK Multicom-497
Albrecht AE497
Dragon SS-497
Roadforce SS-497
Pro Star 497
Comanche Warrior
Eagle Tomahawk
Northpoint

The Albrecht AE497S has a clean schematic available over on modsdk

however, it is not the exact same. The board layout from the 497s folder looked the same as the 1000 upon brief glance so maybe the caps are the same. Maybe enough to compare to the 1000 schematic to read through some of the blurriness.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
