The radio works fine in AM. However, in SSB (USB & LSB) when keying the radio it transmits a carrier of appoximately 14 watts. I've looked on CBTricks and the information is not what I need. I ordered a copy of a service manual and it does not have any info on how to adj the balanced mixer to null out the carrier. I hate to junk it. It's a nice radio. Anyone have any info will be appreciated. Thanks, James:headbang

Try turning the Mic gain down (if there is one) and see if the problem goes away, if possible try a different microphone.
