I recently picked up a Cherokee Nightrider 150 ... has a neat blue background at night. Anyone familiar this radio? I think there is a 100 and 150 model. Is it a keeper or another average radio as not all radios are created equally. Thanks

A EPT3600 board with a rejected Cobra Night Watch EL panel.

Due to Budgetary constraints - you're stuck with a wonderful Brilliant Electric blue lighting Background that when enabled - offers a glaringly bright backlit display - effectively washing out any ability to read which controls do what, in an attractive style case with a dimming function that's sure to ruin your night time vision while blinding other drivers while you drive.

Many attractive features such as; Chrome knobs and switches and the WHITE panel with black lettering - that not only attracts buyers - but also Insects.

Screen Porch recommended - not supplied.

Bug Spray optional - apply on you - not the radio.

If your into Entomology this radio is for you!

It was sold as a legal 40-channel radio, so long as the PLL chip was encapsulated in black epoxy goo. Just thick enough to prevent you from adding frequency coverage.

Wasn't in production for long. Long enough to appear in the Hollywood horror flick "Joy Ride".

Co-written by JJ Abrams, who went on to produce the Star Trek reboot universe.
