red wire in mic head goes to - on the element
white wire in mic head goes to + on element

then just add a 1Kohm resistor to the board to power up the element


radioshack also has some nice small round circuit boards ( http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3173937 ) for around $5,, the element solders nice to the round board and fits in the d104 head just right, then just a little foam packing on the back side to hold it all in the head tight.
