I got to wondering the other day ( Smoke Rolling ) if anybody has a connector that you could screw on to the back of a Anytone Q6 Pro coax connector to extend that connector out past the heat sink to make the antenna coax connector easier to install ( Female to Male ). I never remember the #s of that connector ( too lazy ). Such a connector would make it easier for frequent coax changes ???

Thanks for the heads up. I'm also looking at a double male & double female combination but would have to look at SWR changes.
If everything is done right with the antenna installation there shouldn't be any change to SWR, especially with such a small extension. As a general rule in a base station setup, if changing the length of any coax changes the SWR significantly, then there are other problems with the antenna or coax. SWR should NOT change when coax length changes.

Thanks to the forum gang ! That's how I've learned as much as I have so far. See you old Die-Hards really are usefull ! LOL

I made mine with connectors I keep on hand. See links below.
Thanks ! I guess great minds think alike because I checked my connector and found enough to do both of my Q6s and I'll make them permanent after cleaning and silicon grease. And I'll never cuss that connection again.

That's another great idea for temporary bench type set ups. Where is a good place to get them? I think they ( 3 ea ) would be a great addition to my bench.
Holy crap
Last time I bought these they were about $6
Now $15 on Amazon!

$45 bucks is ridiculous for 3 adapters......

You are probably better off going the coax adapter at that cost.

I bought them on eBay for $3.99 each, $7.99 shipping. I bought 10 to balance cost vs shipping. They are still available, just not as cheap.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
