Not the 459. That's the computerized nightmare radio.

The moment you said computerized nightmare radio, my mind flashed back to when I bought that steaming turd back I think in 2018 or 2019 off eBay for a cheap price... Last I recall seeing it was in my storage unit, but I think someone might of snagged it outta there the last few years... oh well.. No loss as you disregard it.

Have a great evening Mr. Nomad Radio.

I discovered the 459 was good for just one thing. People pay stupid money for them on fleabay. Years ago I cleared out parts radios that never had a part removed and models I won't touch any more. That was one of them. The market may have changed, but it was worth a lot more in someone else's hands than in mine.

I will be glad to sell it off if I run into it again this year when I go to visit my folks in Nevada. I still think people will pay ridiculous money for it. :D lol.

AAAAAAARGH! I had forgotten about that P.O.S. I never owned one, but once made the mistake of offering to repair one for a friend.
It didn't go well and I turned it into a brick for the unhappy friend. I had to pay all costs. And find friend another radio. Ugh.. One of the few times that ever happened. What an absolute nightmare that radio was to work on!

Ok. Time to check the crystals. The 11.11125 checks out at 11.11136 clarifier to extreme right, and 111110716 to the left. The 7.802 is 7.80238. The 7.7975 is 7.798338.
The 10.240 is 10.24002. The one up by L13 is glued over the numbers but has 3 legs so its not really an oscillator crystal... A filter....I think. Then there is that box of crystals there is 6 in there so its a filter. L13 in lsb is 34.75417 clarifier left, 34.76883 right, am its 34.75588 left, 34.7705 right, and Usb its 34.76115 left, and 34.77438 right.
All chrcks were done on channel 1 which is channel 2 on this box, hence the problem...
