Cobra 148GTL China or Thailand??

Found front microphone Cobra 148GTL for $100 each up online.

Neither are the ST models. Just plain fronted.

One say China and 148GTL-D
And Thailand 148GTL (maybe Moxon)

Which one would you grab if you absolutely had too?

I was wondering if anyone knows if threre is any known quality differences from working with them..

Like I said not the ST SoundCrapper model..

I'm thinking the Thailand model is older than the China model since it has a rivited plate..

I have come to interpret the "D", as in "148GTL-D" to mean "DOG".

Seriously, that version has nothing but problems on sideband.

The Thailand version was made by Maxon, I think.

Never had those problems from that version.

Chinese model I have never had any ssb issues maybe could have been later models.
