Cobra 150 GTL DX Meter Light

The meter light has gone out on my Cobra 150. Anyone know what voltage bulb it is ?

O, it's not a bulb but a LED instead? I have not had a chance to look inside yet.

I mean replace the bulb with an LED. Lasts longer

Well, I opened her up and found the location of the meter light. I had some 14 volt rice bulb lights on hand so I took the old bulb out and held the new bulb to the connection to see if it would work and it lit up. I soldered the new bulb into place, went to turn the radio on and IT WAS ALL READY ON ! I forgot to turn it off (it was facing away from me) now no bulb will work. The radio works just fine. This is the first time in years that I have made a mistake like this. Anyone know what I might have done ??

The voltage where the light hooks up is 0.4 volts, not 12 like it should be, geuss I messed something up !

easy way to make a light work it is to check the voltage regulators for 12v and connect your power from there.

otherwse go backwards on the circuit and see whats cooked and fix it right.
