can anybody tell me what kind of echo the cobra uses, is it a digital echo like the magnum s9 or a bucket brigade type echo like a sadelta mic and older radios??

thanks dtb, a few of my buddies have been asking me about the cobra echo compared to the magnum echo :D

From a construction standpoint, my vote is with the 200's echo. Being part of the main board, there is WAY less chance of bad connections developing. On the downside, due to its being all surface-mount, modifying the echo is difficult.

I found that a 22k ohm resistor at R39 gave a very nice delay compared to the stock setting. Not too fast or two slow. If you happened to like the old Mr Jigs reverb sound, use a 10-15k, and you'll be almost identical in sound to that old reverb unit.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
