OK this is a weird one. Transmit on 11-meter band, hi power and ant warning light comes on, on low power no light. Transmit out of 11-meter band, hi power, switch down to A or up to C, D, upper 40 on B, and no light (in the very upper and lower frequencies, it comes on, but that is the ant not being set for the very upper and lower). Checked the grounds, SWR, and even replaced the coax. I even switched back to the Wilson 5000, from the 10K.

If a final went out, wouldn’t the ant light be on, on all bands and all frequencies?

Thanks Jacob

Sounds like your radio is producing IMD(harmonics) that are fooling the internal SWR protection circuits. Try backing down your mic gain or getting the radio conservatively tuned or use a Low PAss filter.

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
