I got a Cobra 200 from arby711 and I like it a lot. To me it has great receive and transmit. On low it keys 4 and swing to 8 and on high keys 30 and swings to 40 watts and sounds good. Cool radio.

If you're only getting 40 watts PEP out of that radio, then there's a serious problem. They will do (usually) a minimum of 120 watts, and most do close to 150 or more.
DTB, my 200 is still running great. I just got back from a trip to Miami. Talked on it alot. It hardly gets warm. It's been 2 years and no problems. The only complaint I have about it is that occasionally the audio gets fuzzed up by a overmodulated radio on a close channel. Thanks.
