What is the agenda pep power of a cobra 2000 when it is molded.with a mosfet
Saw local use a Rt1 mosfet instead of a irf5@0 said.it was a bit better on the meter have seen a few mods but I am looking for the most effect mod

I would not worry about getting more power out of it. I would run an amplifier with it. If you can get more power, the power supply won't be able to handle it as it can barely run a stock radio. The power switch is the next weakest link and becomes problematic even at stock power levels.

Approximately zero once the power supply is damaged and shuts down. The power drain of a MOSFET final will prove too much for the radio's factory power supply.

And if you're willing to power the radio from a larger external supply, you might see 20 Watt peaks or so if everything goes perfectly.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
