Any one have a mod to make the TB louder on the newer chrome 29 that comes with variable talk back?

If you look behind where the mic side. Is on parts side of the board.r21/r77. Solder the tops of these two resistors together to give you a much louder talkback

I did notice after doing this mod, if you crank the talk back all the way up, the radio will lose some swing. I don't under stand why, unless running the talk back wide open causes a drop in voltage maybe?

Yes this is what I did. I don't remember the numbers now, but say it was swinging to 30, and when the tb is cranked all the way it will only swing to 25. In fact I injected a tone, and watched the meter as I turned up the talk back volume, as I turned it up the meter went down. No coincidence.
