cobra 29 instant ch 19 mod

Anyone know how to do this? I have seen it on a radio before and would like for my radio to have it. Thanks in advance. The Mud Duck

You remove a diode, just can't remember which one. I will see if I can find it.

It should be D32. Try it at your own risk.

OOPS my radio dont have D32 I forgot to look at the front to see if it had instant ch 9 LMAO my mistake. My radio is an older cobra 29 GTL Thanks anyway I will get a newer 29 with instant 9 so I can make it talk like my current one and do the ch 19 mod, Thank you

Instant Channel 19...

... Still reads Ch 9 on the Ch Readout, however...

Clipping D32 (good luck finding it...) will indeed give you ch 19.

Again, the Ch indicator will still indicate 9, however.

D32 is located between the ribbon cable and IC1. Right next to the multi resistor chip.
