did you look at the wiring diagram I left you? I have used this on on many cobra 29 radios. it shows where each wire goes to on the switch to the board.

I managed to get channnel 9 switch working now as for the mic part radio recieves as i see the meter moving and has great audio just no sound at all coming from the speaker jack .

Ahh it works with speaker hooked up seems the jack is bad

good job. it is hard for us to help you 100% for problems like this. it will be up to you to do as you did to find the problem. as stated good job and you are now learning. nothing is black and white with radios.

Having a hard time fixing the external speaker jack and pa jack seems something is missing but what puzzles me is the internal speaker works.

Solved ! found a couple of bad solder joints on the pa and ext speaker connecters
