How dumb, so whats the difference? Looks the same to me. Pssshhhh oh wait i know, the new one has even cheaper crappy chinese parts in it. Cobra, hahaha those guys are lost and have no clue already. to bad, they used to make great radios.

That about a pointless revamp if you can call it that. I had one of those early 29lx when they first came out and was never really impressed with it. Nothing new under the sun with cobra these days.

People have been adding FM for decades to CB. I have never done it but seen it down. It is not a hard mod to do. That said when you see it done it is usually done in a terrible fashion by people that appear to be blind and missing all of their fingers in terms of the quality of the work!

It is shocking and rare to see it done well!

The injection mold for the plastic parts probably wore out or was lost! LOL

I am sure they figured out a way to make it cheaper than the last model!
