ok i Game a lot i am a nerd and i have this nice head set I started making an adapter for my Kenwood but it is not working...
I have gotten the little tin can condenser mic element working before using the +8v out of the radio that's what i am using in an old Turner mic ...

when i test the mic plug i get a dead short on the center and tip i did have a 1uf cap on the mic input as DC blocking what am i not getting here?

i have a little test jig here but maybe i don't understand the pin out for the mic?

ok i think i got it working my setup is strange i have to have the head phone jack plunged in i don't know why?? must be completing some circuit nothing is sanded over here LOL

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
