The NeedleBenders are having their 4th annual Red Fox, Fox Hunt contest. I signed up because.... just because. I doubt that I'll get any radio time in though. It looks like my antennas will be iced over fairly thick, and will stay iced over this weekend.
My luck.....

From what I see, you're going to get it a lot worse than me. Hang in there, my friend.
According to the forecast that seems to be the case. Amarillo has declared a state of emergency so it may get nasty. We'll see!

I know to some folks this sort of thing is a regular day but here we aren't set up for it. The intense cold! Last time this happened there were water main ruptures, gas line failures and plumbers were busy for weeks...
Not looking forward to it at all

I am NE Texas, look like its going to be rough for a lot of areas. My wire loop antenna should be OK, the balun for it is under the roof of the lean-to, its fed with 600 ohm so hopefully all will be good. It has a drip loop as well on the ladder line as it goes under the roof.

That was fun! No swr issues so I jumped in there and did pretty good. Being stuck in the house due to the weather, this couldn't have come at a better time. I also had many good qsos, besides the NB check-ins. Conditions were prime.

Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
