Cool Cobra 148 GTL INT

The cobra 148 has been discontinued from what I have heard. They have some stock left directly from Cobra or there were a couple sellers that had some as well, but on another forum this is being spoken about. The 148int, is basically a anytone, Lincoln 2 board copy with some changes. But the insides look pretty darn close to being the same radio. 60 watts pep on SSB. Dual final export sort of. There are a couple YouTube vids floating around of the 148int. As well as some photos of the board. Here is what it looks like inside. The 1st photo is of the cobra. The 2nd is an anytone board, and the last the Lincoln 2 board. Not exactly the same but getting there aren't they. Wonder what the new 148's will look like if they produce another one. Probably like the 29lx models I would think but who knows. Anyways, that is the story I heard. The 148 has been discontinued for now.

With in the last year I bought a cobra 148 gtl 1991 phili model looks and works like new. I will say I have been told on ssb I am a little high, but ok I guess thats good on a stock radio. loud and clean audio and a beautyful and clean radio. If the int model was as good as the old radio I would buy 2 of then. Things will never be the same.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
