The M14, like it's base, the M1 Garand has a rotating bolt and a locking lug. The M1 Carbine (whose design was contributed to by a convict, David Williams), also uses a rotating, locking bolt. The M4, todays variation of the AR15/M16 design also uses a locking bolt.
Even the simple and very reliable AK47 has locking lugs.
Cool vid, yet a very simple design. Its cyclic rate on full auto would be hampered by the "bounce" firing from a closed bolt, but if it fired from an open bolt, the rate would increase at the cost of things invading the very large breech.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
