I bought a Galaxy VI from Copper in 1989. It was DOA out of the box. I recall it having a Ranger EPTX11B board in it. LC7131 PLL. The Galaxy V had the same board. I think the Galaxy IV had a Uniden 142 board in it.
Very old thread, but it actually had the old LC 7130 PLL.
The Galaxy with no 4,5, or 6 was a MB 8719.
Courier made a Galaxy, a Galaxy IV a Galaxy V and the Galaxy VI.
They also built a Ranger 23 model, these radios were made long before RCI started building clone boards and were all FCC approved standard 40 channel radios.
