Crazy thoughts lead to questions ???

Seeing I'm the kind of guy who Absolutely refuses to punch a hole in the roof of my new truck it brings the question to mind, Has anybody ever ran a piece of antenna coax thru a piece of BX cable shielding and put it up thru the floor of their truck to protect it from road grit and damage. I'm thinking about putting a new cap on my new truck and thinking about exploring NGP antennas that aren't too high because of all the trees in my local area. I don't think the BX Shielding would cause any RF problems but then again I don't know it all so I ask from the wealth of knowledge ? Also did anybody ever do a dual NGP antenna system to make up for shorter antennas ? I like to make my mistakes on the drawing board before my wallet ! LOL

I didn't want to punch the hole either. I ran a Sirio mag mount for years until it started having problems. The latest antenna on the truck is a Fire stick, here is the install:

Yes I like your antenna job and it looks good and that option is on the table for sure. A couple weeks from now I'm going to a local Cap MFG. ( 2 hrs ) and talk about a custom Aluminum cap. I have custom building in my blood so thoughts are endless and cheap until the Poop hits the Fan
