Whether it is ham radio or CB radio, it is just not for everyone! Just like anything else.
Trying to find a way to convince anyone that they should be a part of something they don't really like anyway is a big waste of your time. You can't BEAT interest into anyone.
These days they should stick to playing games on their phone where they are happy.
