D-104 powder coat

Are you looking for the powder coat indestructibility? Or the color? Paint doesn't take to chrome very well. You have a few choices, strip it down to bare metal, or strip down almost to bare metal use a self-etching primer and then paint. I asked a chrome shop what they would charge to remove chrome from a D-104, they quoted me well over $100.00. I painted the head, and grip of mine. The self-etching primer has really made the paint hold up well. Look into finding a sandblaster who can help you.

I've had quite a bit of stuff powder coated for motorcycles over the years, never had any trouble going direct over chrome other than the obvious dimensional increase. I would expect to pay $80-120, but you have to keep in mind that they have to thoroughly clean the spray gun before and after your specific color. I tell you from experience that if you chose a color that they spray regularly or can wait until they have a bigger job with your color of choice, you can probably save a few bucks.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
