Hi to all. When I check the dead key on my radios I notice that they all go up a little and then settle down.Is that normal? When they settle down is that the actual dead key. For instance one radio may go up to about 4 watts and then quickly settle back to 2 watts.

Thank you for your help here.

Chuck…turn you modulation off/all the way down. That will probably eliminate the momentary spike your seeing on the meter. Also are you doing this into a dummy load or your antenna? What meter are you using?
Brad
Thanks Brad. Dummy load and just radio meter on my cherokee 1000.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
