Decisions

Thanks . I never talked Ssb so I wonder if I would even like it. I can tell you all I ever talked on was a comp cobra 4 pill. Not to be a dick but I’m not to sure anyone out talked that radio while I’m in a conversation up and down the road. It’s a skip talking monster.

I found talking skip on 38lsb is a more mature. But don’t get me wrong AM 6 is a hoot!! Most locals here are on either 6 or 19 AM

I thought we had already solved this thread :) It sounds like you are a AM guy who wants big AM audio and may talk on SSB as well.

ZIPLOC - Get the 955 as we said before. It is the perfect radio based upon what you described.

Don't buy a Lincoln II - it's not the right radio for what you described. Buy the Stryker 955HP. You don't even need to have a CB shop do a "tune" on that radio - straight out of the box is sounds good. If you want more AM audio you can tweak the modulation pot a little and it will scream but it's not even necessary. :)

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
