Direct result of "Watt Meter" fanatics

The following pic is one of many instances I run across on my desk. Maxing these radios out just to see that swing on that watt meter is damaging parts due to excessive heat buildup.

Guys/gals, you don't have to stress these radios out. You don't need any swing mods, regulator mods, etc... Just a complete recap, upgrade a few parts and do a complete alignment is all that's needed to get the same (if not more) output out of these radios instead of hacking them up, stressing them out.

This is the direct result of:
Two swing mods, one regulator swing mod, two limiters removed, bias's cranked almost wide open and the RF stage being out of whack.

Not sure, should be mica. I think the ceramic insulators can create capacitance through the transistors.
