I think they went for around the same price he is asking. Never heard one on the air the whole time I was on FM, probably due to the cost.

The guy probably thinks it's a telephone, due to the DTMF mic.

Haha one on eBay recently sold for $250.00 and it was cleaner than the $1k above. Radio looks different on so many levels.
I found this radio on universals catalog, I heart looking at the discontinued catalog.
