DX Radio Shop misleading people

They put those stickers there to try and scare people not to open the covers on the radio. FYI it's a violation of Federal law to use stickers to void any product warranty. Why does President Electronics US only put them on Washington radios.

DX Radio shop loves to claim (all the time) he runs a professional shop and does things by the book. Owner of that shop lies about being a warranty tech for brands that don't have his shop listed as one. A person on youtube pointed out over 30 videos on his channel where he acts like it's the first time opening the radio and powering it on and all 30+ radios were set to channel he always uses when testing radios.

He lies about the stickers being warranty stickers, and claims stickers with zero numbers on them can be linked to product serial number at his shop. All that for what, to make $10-15 extra selling fan kits and installing them. If he ran an honest shop, he would of made a new video addresing the misinformation.
OK, we get your point. Let's move on please.

This is starting to swirl like it's going to disappear

You threatening to delete it over Recon trying to sweep this under the rug by telling people to move on.

Are we not allowed to make topics about a radio shop lying to customers. It's not hearsay information, the lies are straight from the horses mouth.

Admins can remove content with no explanation but.....
I see where opinions were posted
Don't see any rug sweeping
Looks like the topic has been bought to light, it's still here and it's like we get it.
Just beating on it gets old though

I could see "beating on it" if it was years old post but it's not. This just recently happened and i replied to other people comments on here.

@Recon if you don't like this topic, why not ignore it instead of telling people to move on. Let the topic run it's course and die off on it's own.

What is the name of your shop?
Look, it's obvious that you have a low opinion of other shops, if anyone wants to go look at your post history.
It's different if it's a end user that's had to take legal action to get there equipment back as compared to one shop bagging on another.

There are reputable shops that will not engage in this but anyway.....

I don't have a radio shop. Don't you think a shop that straight up lies to customers should be called out for it. Specially when they refuse to do anything to correct the false information they put out. DX Radio shop thinks a company has the right to void product warranty with those stickers. He refuses to look up Federal law that makes it illegal for any company to do that.

I don't care if people look at my post history. Topic i made about D-rail $650 Stryker 955HPC+ is valid criticism, same with stuff i said about Lestercustoms.

It's hard to find reputable radio shops out there that don't take advantage of people or screw up radios.

It is not a warranty seal or a safety seal, it is a tamper indicating seal.

If the sticker was for safety, it would indicate not to do something in bright colors with internationally recognized cautionary symbols. I think it is pretty obvious that the sticker is a proprietary tamper sticker, not a generic safety label.

Whether cutting it voids the warranty or not is up for debate. They put it there for a reason, but I imagine it just serves to indicate if closer inspection is required prior to their usual troubleshooting. Looking inside your radio should not void the warranty. Imagine auto manufacturers taping hoods shut lol.

This forum is all about tearing into radios, I don't think anyone is framing their warranty cards here. If you value your warranty, ask them to fix whatever problem that has you ready to cut the tamper seal.
Hoods on vehicles are in place to facilitate regular owner maintenance to include checking system fluids. No such user maintenance is needed on a two-way radio.

I think you found the wrong forum. Some people have no business under the hood of a car, but that doesn't eliminate the need for routine maintenance. CB radios are no different, often needing a tune up right after purchase. Not everyone sees the things inside the radio as unserviceable.

DX Radio Shop in New York is telling customers that the stickers on side of President Washington radios are warranty stickers and the president washington radios he sells have a serial number tied to the stickers (LIE). Some people have reached out to president electronics us and confirmed DX Radio Shop is misleading people. DX Radio Shop claims to be a honest shop. He refuses to admit he was wrong and make a simple video telling his viewers/customers the truth. Guess some people will do anything to make a buck.

Have you read the on-going "saga" post, "Headache Buying Experience:?

Yeah ol' Stu sure seems to be trying to cram himself right into the hole that was left by the sudden departure of that one guy. You all know the one.
