Hello all,

I have listened everyday they have been on-YI9PSE- the signals from them
have not been very good,I worked them on 17ssb 2nd day they were on the
air-I think by mistake .... I really was looking for them on 40mtr cw -could not
hear a dit but a lot of other stations were getting QSOs on 40 cw,I went to 17
cw-its one of my favorite bands for DXing - my rig was on rtty/fh,in upper ssb
3 Khz away was YI9PSE 589 signal-2 calls I got a 5X9+ report,40 mtrs I just heard
them today finally -no contact yet on 40-snagged them on 20cw/ssb-Wed.Thurs.
75/80 mtrs All I hear is sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss on 160 its a lot
worse this time of yr with sleet/snow/rain thundersnow-Big crashes Ill try the
next few days again on 40/30/17 cw -possible to snag again.Solar activity is
very low now-but somethings a boiling up on the sun Id bet,I never had a contact
with Iraq before thiis-tried but nada till now and past week ,the band openings
have been weird times of the day and night for my area.Iam gong to listen a
hr or so on 80/160 mtrs-while I work on a homebrewed 75w transmitter/receiver for
150-500 Khz.-long way to go.tnx/Dx.
