Not sure if anyone was keeping up with this but this swarm is still ongoing since a 4.9~5.0 Magnitude occurred in this region yesterday just after 5PM local time.

Since this is still ongoing - and active - screenshot attached just as of this posting...

Most people aren't aware that there are several active volcano regions in that part of CA and NV. SW NV has a very active seismic calendar since last year, as it appears that magma is moving and rising due E of the Mammoth Lake area. There are some old calderas there as well.

The North America plate had overrun what used to be the Pacific mid-oceanic ridge over 20+M years ago. The result is the Rocky Mountains/Yellowstone/many more..

The "swarm" seems to have quieted down, so it's just an area to watch for something to occur...

Found it interesting to see this region "flare up" with 5 tremors in the 15 minutes I looked thru the logs - it kept adding more. The concern, was this effect of almost constant rumbling - and the tidal forces in this region - around a full moon, with the next one to occur on October 31st - being a Blue moon. Possible to have another flare up.

From Baja to Cascades - this areas' been pretty active the past few years - Idaho especially.

Maybe it was nothing - so sorry to the Admins for a "dud" - if that's what you want to call it...

Sorry for that Strawberry patch...

Focus on THE OTHER wing.
Both engines kaput.

Possibly both on fire before landing.

Maximum of 12,000-gallons of Jet-A on board.
(A great deal more than the tanker trucks you see on the highway).

Imagine landing in that condition. Slip sideways on ground contact and break off a wing with starboard engines already on fire.

The jet jockey pushed the eject button.

Everyone walked away.
