Echo mic on 6

Hee hee. Yesterday I was talking on 6 meters. I use a power mic with my 5054dx. I have been told the stock mic was a little weak and got good reports with the power mic. Yesterday I put it on and a fella I was talking to asked me if I was running an echo mic. Sure enough the slider built on the mic was moved. Talk about embarrassed ! It definately wasn't on purpose I just like the results of that mic.

So if you are running a power mic with an echo slider be sure to check it out ! Or someone may post some trucker got on 6 meters with an echo mic and vhf will be said to be going to the dogs LOL !

I really like it ! I don't seem to have any problem contacting the ones that I hear. I have talked to Tx and Mo. and OK. on 25 watts and hamstick dipole in the attic. I have the antenna on a tripod on a rotor which helps.

LOL ! The funny thing, right before him I talked to an elderly man in Tenn. and he kept telling me how great the audio was ! :shock: Must have been an ole cber
