Doubt it. The US dollar is the what the world bases the value of many many things. Like barrels of Oil, the value of other countries money, etc...
I would be more worried the Chinese Yuan would become the worlds monetary mark.

I do not think so IF the US did switch over it would more then likely drive the value of the Euro even higher. JMO.

Several years ago Iran was pushing for oil to be traded in Euros knowing that it would destroy the US economy.The US$ is simply a standard used in trade and standards change from time to time. It certainly could happen but the end result would not be good for the US economy as it would drive the dollar way down as it would show non-confidence in the US$ as well as create a glut of US$'s on the market.
