So I had $900+ in my RF Parts cart. I whittled it down to $174 or so. They need a save for latter button!

The high dollar parts I could recall exactly what I wanted those for it is the tiny $2 and $1 transistors I had absolutely no clue why they where in the cart! Those are the parts though I am sure I probably need more than anything else in the cart.

Anyways since they where $2 and $1 parts I think some might have been less than $1 I went ahead and ordered all $19 worth of tiny parts.

The parts have been in my cart for prob. 2 years since I walked away from RF hobby for a while to get back into music and audiophile sound etc....

At Mouser's I always seperate my parts into carts with project name which is normaly the name of the device the parts are for.

I'm holding on to a stash of special transistors and I have no idea why I ordered them 4 years ago. Idk if it's common, it certainly is in my world.

I have done that with car parts. I have parts for car's that neither myself or my family owns any more. LOL When I do get rid of something it never fails a few years latter I think of a way I could have used that very part. LOL

When I swore off fooling with cars I had 40 years' worth of air-cooled VW stuff piled up. Fractions of gasket sets, spare clutch and accelerator cables, spare cylinder head, half axles with CVJs etc. Found a young guy who fancies air-cooleds and told him to clean house. He missed one bucket with starter cores, but it sure did make a lot of room.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
