I seen a device on a cb radio, it allowed yopu to select sound clips saved on a SD card to play over the air. Anyone know who makes a device like that? The person wouldn't say who made it for him. The device had a knob on it i think to select which audio clip you want to play, it was like 5-6 inches wide mounted on top of the CB.

They are really fun when the solar cycle kills the band and your local buddy is in the living room. I can yell for him all day, he don't hear me. But if I play that old russian telephone sound, he knows im out there.

I used to hate these things too, but for some reason, I kinda want one now. My roger beep would be the jetsons car, id have a scooby doo "ruh rho" button, a boxing bell (ding ding) for when people get attitude, a blacksmith hammering steel so I can lurk in the shadows, and a wind-up that sputters out like its otta gas with Nelson Munts saying Ha Ha!

Do us all a huge favor and forget the stupid noise toys!! Those things have been the bane of CB since the 1970's.
God gave you a voice to talk with. If you have nothing to say then stay silent. Noise toys are for people who don't have enough brains to say anything worthwhile, all while clogging up the band for those who do want to communicate!

Maybe you should stay silent if you have nothing good to say, none of this conversation/post was sent to you or directed to you but you could not stay silent. And I guess your brains cant keep you from saying anything worthwhile.
Remember your radio has a channel switch and an on/off sw learn how to use both my friend

So I'll ask again, are these used on all the bands? I've never been into the noise toys and I'm just curious.
They seem to be only an 11 meter thing, and mostly on the regular 40 channels.
I have heard all kinds of bad behavior on the ham bands over the years, including music and audio recordings, but I don't think I've ever heard an actual noise toy on a ham band...............
