The end of an era. The antenna was installed, CQWW SSB 1998. We pushed it up at night, almost went flying. The mast is retracted in the photo. There is a 3 section 45 ft crank up (hand winch) guyed mast in the roof tower.
My friend and I built a SO/MS station there. Then life things got in the way and we stopped contesting, he is SK since 2021, I promised the wife I would remove the antenna. The house is sold and she is moving on. Dismantling the station was a lot of work. I can't imagine building something like this again.
